Frenchie Details:

We are still learning Chuy since we rescued him 2 months ago. Unfortunately, I did not ask the right questions, and the previous owner did not disclose his behaviors. He is a good dog, does well during walks, listens to commands such as sit, stay, wait, lay, down, off, up, walk, sleep, fist pump. Chuy is potty trained, crate trained, loves baths, loves food, loves to cuddle, and gives lots of kisses.
He eats dog food, ground beef, carrots, peas, broccoli, apples, strawberries, blueberries, sweet potatoes, eggs, and broth.
He had a vet visit on 4/21, and everything went well. He was treated with an allergy shot and a steroid shot because he had hives and rash due to his allergies.

He will bark to let you know he wants to go for a walk. The previous owner said he likes car rides, but I’ve only tried it twice. He likes to sit in the front seat. He does well outdoors, no barking, very friendly, and curious. The little time I have had him, he has shown some behaviors that show he may have some trauma. With that said, he can be unpredictable sometimes. He has tried to bite our feet, and sometimes when going to his crate, he has launched at my husband as if he was going to bite. Almost every day, there is a trigger, and we are not sure why or what it is. He needs guidance and training, and I can’t provide him that. Chuy did attack my chihuahua, who is a senior dog, over a treat.
We have also tried to work with him to get familiar with the vacuum, broom, trash bags, and any item we have in our hands can cause him to act aggressively by barking, jumping, and wanting to bite. We got him to get over the broom and trash bags, but the vacuum is still work in progress.
I think he was neglected a lot, with no guidance. We have tried every day for the past 2 months, but it’s been very difficult; he wants all the attention all day. He has temperament issues and a strong personality.
